Frequently-Asked Questions
Why Multi Media Memories?
Here at Multi Media Memories we pride ourselves on the artistry of making a very personalized video created just for you. We do not use a 'cookie cutter' format. We gather as much information from you as we can to infuse your personality into it, develop custom graphics to help tell your story, and carefully select the music to establish just the right mood, in order to create a video that you and yours will always cherish. See what others have to say about their video created by Multi Media Memories.
How do I get started on a Montage video?
Gather your pictures and/or video. Consider who is the subject of your video and who will be your audience. Go through your boxes and photo albums and gather lots of photos to tell the story. Be sure to include all the important people, events and settings. We highly recommend including video in addition to your still pictures - it adds so much visual interest! It can be just a few seconds of any clear video. We can help select it and add special effects to help establish the mood and add to the story-telling aspect. Then you will meet with us either in person or by phone for an interview so we can gather as much personal information as you would like to include in your video (including hobbies, interests, music genre choices, etc.).
Can MMM shoot some video for me?
Of course! If we are creating a sports or scholarship video for example, we can come to your San Diego County location and shoot video for you. Or if you need any event video, we will shoot and edit the whole video for you!
Why convert video tapes to DVD?
If you want to be able to continue viewing your video tapes, convert them now! Video tapes degrade over time. Not just the danger of your tape breaking, but visual and sound quality greatly deteriorates as time goes by. Faces get fuzzy, voices and sounds get muffled. By converting to DVD, your tapes are digitized (technically converted to digital code) which means they will never deteriorate! Even if technology changes, the quality on the DVD will never degrade and it will preserve the quality forever. Also, perhaps you have tapes for which you no longer have a camera or player to view them. Let us convert them so you can relive those old memories and watch them again and again.
What types of formats can you convert?
The following video formats: VHS, 8mm, Hi8, Digital8, Mini DV, VHS-C, S-VHS.
Got film? We are considering adding film reel conversion to our capability. Contact us to let us know you have film reels you want converted so we know we have enough business to add this to our services.
